Mats Ruge Holte

Mats has 15 years of experience within the area of risk management. He has extensive experience in the area of risk and threat assessments, contingency planning and evaluating exercises and incidents (safety and security). His previous experience includes working as a senior analyst and manager at the Norwegian Intelligence Service (NIS), focusing on the Middle East, North Africa and the Balkans. He was project manager at the Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB), and was responsible for developing the Norwegian National Risk Assessment (NRA). At DSB he also gave lectures on risk management and risk analysis methodology.

Mats has also worked as senior safety adviser at Safetec Nordic AS, where he conducted risk assessments for public and private enterprises. Mats holds a master degree from the London School of Economics and from the University of Oslo. He has worked as a researcher at the Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO), focusing on security and defense policy issues. Mats has been with PwC since 2012.
