Marianne Støkken Pilgaard

Marianne Støkken Pilgaard is lawyer in Advokatfirmaet PricewaterhouseCoopers and director at PwC Forensic & Compliance. She is responsible for the service Compliance/Fraud Risk Management (FRM), including Anti-Corruption and Whistleblowing. Marianne has broad experience with corruption and fraud issues, assisting companies in scoping and developing frameworks addressing corruption and fraud. This includes assessing risks, identifying and implementing risk mitigation measures, gap analysis, third party handling, establishing and following up Whistleblower channels and other services related to corruption issues, ethics and integrity.

Marianne was the project manager for a major report to the Ministry of Industry and Fisheries assessing FCPA, UK Bribery Act and Norwegian penal code on corruption regulations, anti-corruption measures and corporate governance. In addition, PwC prepared a "Best practice Anti-corruption program". The purpose of the program was to define and guide in relation to elements that are fundamental and central for the companies to assess, design, implement and comply with in their business. The NFD has implemented the program in all its underlying businesses and other ministries have followed their lead. Subsequently, Marianne has implemented this program in Avinor. 

Marianne previously worked as a public prosecutor in ØKOKRIM, Oslo police department and as a legal adviser in Riksrevisjonen. She has broad experience as an investigator and project manager and thus, good knowledge of public administration and the requirements and guidelines that are set. Marianne is a member of the IIA Network for Fraud, Corruption and Corporate Social Responsibility and Juristenes Fagutvalg for Corporate Governance, organizing courses and lectures in the fields of compliance, anti-corruption, fraud and Corporate governance.
